OHEE was the response to the necesity of putting together the efforts of several indigenus communities in the deep jungle of Madre de Dios in Perú. These communities shared language, customs and resources, but had grew appart due to the often lack of comunication technology. They needed to brand their products in order to make it appealing to the public and make a sustainable income using the resources that the woods gave them naturally.
So we picked a word from there common language, OHEE, wich means team.
We wanted to make them feel part of a bigger team, and remind them that helping each other means helping themselves.
OHEE fue la respuesta ante la necesidad de unir los esfuerzos de varias comunidades indigenas del bosque amazónico de Perú. Estas comunidades comparten idioma, costumbres y recursos, pero se habían distanciado, debido a la falta de tecnologia de transport y comunicaciones. Ellos necesitaban una marca para hacer sus proudctos mas atractivos al público y de esa forma generar ingresos de manera sostenible con lo que el bosque les ofrece de manera natural.
Entonces elegimos una palabra en su idioma nativo, OHEE significa equipo.
Queríamos hacerlos sentir como un equipo, y recordarles que ayudándose entre ellos se ayudaban a si mismos.
